Henke Winery
Sörnewitz / Saxony
The Andreas Henke winery is located in the winegrowing village of Sörnewitz, directly on the Saxon Wine Route. Founded in 1990, the family business with field, fruit and wine growing was expanded to include a winery in 2003.
The vineyards, which cover an area of around eight hectares, are located in the single vineyard sites "Weinböhlaer Gellertberg", "Proschwitzer Katzensprung" and "Meißner Kapitelberg". The range of varieties grown by the winery includes Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir, as well as the Hungarian grape variety Perle von Zala.
In viticulture, great importance is attached to strict yield regulation, gentle processing of the grapes and reductive ageing of the wines.
