Music at Christmas time

The WIRBELEY brings along heartfelt Christmas music from many countries, a bag of interesting instruments such as a Norwegian buckhorn, a yearning viola, the singing saw for firewood, a lyre ... and many Advent songs.

This is where sheer musical joy meets folklore.

The musicians open up a cornucopia of musical tales to the audience and tell, among other things, of the love story of a drum major from Provence with a beautiful Lusatian woman, of Bohemian peasant dances or a Serbian soiree with Saxon settlers. Of course, well-known and popular Christmas songs are also part of the repertoire.

Everyone is welcome to sing along. It is expressly encouraged!
